KGS/VD adjustable joint

Inclined positions are common in flange connections, especially in buried pipes, where adapters and flanges are attached to valves or other elements that must fit fixed obstacles such as pillars, beams and other structural. In these situations, It is not always possible to align components according to the plan.

The KLINGER® KGS/VD adjustable joint offers a simple and highly economical solution, replacing the heavy cast iron or steel discs that were previously used. These discs required complex installations and up to two additional seals, resulting in inaccurate assembly and higher costs, in addition to complicated handling due to narrow spaces and increased risk of leaks.

Conventional curves made of GGG (ductile cast iron), steel or plastic generally start at 11.25°. KLINGER® KGS/VD adjustable joint covers the range 0° to 8°, while the remaining 3.25° is adjusted by other constructive measures. KLINGER® KGS/VD can be used as an adapter or extension piece, as needed.

KLINGER® KGS/VD adjustable gaskets are made up of two pieces that compensate for inclined flange positions of up to approximately 8°. Ideal for pipeline construction, These gaskets are simple to use and great value for money..
